Amendment 16 Invoicing Services

What We Do

The purpose of AMENDMENT 16 can be summed up in one sentence. We provide the minimum, basic administrative support that is necessary to allow you to work at your chosen career, without you having to waste your valuable time keeping abreast of the ever-changing tax laws.

Specifically, if you find a client who is willing to retain your services, we can invoice that client for the hours and expenses which you report to us. When your client pays us, we forward the net proceeds to you, minus a nominal invoicing fee.

As a part of our invoicing service, we can, at your option, withhold all Federal and State taxes that you are required to pay.

If you are already set up as a corporation, company, or self-employed individual as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), we can simply issue you a check for the full net proceeds, then provide you with federal Form 1099 at year's end detailing your income. As a "1099 Affiliate" of AMENDMENT 16, you would be responsible for remitting all taxes. Or, should you choose, we can hold your estimated taxes in escrow, then make estimated payments accordingly at the appropriate times.

But if you are not already set up as an IRS-approved entity, then you can choose to become a "W-2 Affiliate" of our organization. This means that we would withhold all required taxes as if you were our employee, then provide you with the familiar Form W-2 at year's end. We would be responsible for remitting your payroll taxes.

It is very important to note that even though we may treat W-2 Affiliates as employees for tax withholding purposes, for all other purposes we treat them as independent contractors. This means that we never tell you what to do, where to work, what hours to work, or how to do your job. Nor do we provide any marketing, clients, supervision, group insurance, cash advances, jobs, vacations, sick leave, office space, office supplies, or anything else that is normally associated with a typical employer-employee relationship. We are not responsible for you or for your actions. You are left 100% free to pursue your own career, only without the hassles of keeping the books and remitting taxes.

Regardless of your tax status, we still provide you with many other important benefits, primarily the ability for you to deal with others as a corporation on a corp-to-corp basis. Each spring, we ask a professional tax service to prepare your personal Federal and State income tax forms. If you have contracted with a marketing organization to locate clients for you, we can withhold their marketing fee from your receivables and forward it to them periodically. Also, if you introduce a new person to our service, you are entitled to receive a percentage of their receivables as a referral commission.

This sums up the full range of services that AMENDMENT 16 offers. Of course, this introduction is intended to be just that: an introduction. If you have a question that needs a more complete answer, feel free to give us a call directly.

After all, that's what we're here for.
